CODE OF CONDUCT
We are committed to providing a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for all. This code of conduct outlines our expectations for participant behavior as well as the consequences for unacceptable behavior. We invite all sponsors, volunteers, speakers, attendees, media, exhibitors, and other participants to help us make Twist & Shout a safe and positive experience for everyone. We expect all event participants to abide by this code of conduct at all conference venues and conference-related social events. All decisions about appropriate or inappropriate behavior are at the sole discretion of the Twist & Shout Team.

1.1 Be considerate and respectful.
1.2 Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech.
1.3 Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow attendees. Alert conference organizers if you notice a dangerous situation or someone in distress.
1.4 Children must be accompanied at all times by an actively registered adult holding a convention badge or a Twist & Shout-issued ID in convention areas.

2.1 Unacceptable behavior includes: intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory or demeaning conduct by any attendees of Twist & Shout and related events like the after hours socializing parties.
2.2 Harassment includes: offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, disability; deliberate intimidation, stalking or following; harassing photography or recording; sustained disruption of talks or other events; inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
2.3 Physical, written, verbal or other abuse, intimidation, threats, annoyance, harassment, stalking, pushing, shoving or use of any physical force whatsoever against any person, which in any way creates a disturbance that is disruptive or dangerous, or creates anxiety in a person.
2.4 Please drink alcohol responsibly.
2.5 Possession or use of any illegal substance. Twist & Shout Team does not condone the use or abuse of illegal substances anywhere in the venue.
2.6 Smoking and vaping is not permitted in any areas other than those outside areas designated by the hotel
2.7 Assembling for the purpose of, or resulting in, disturbing the peace, or committing any unlawful act or engaging in any offensive behavior.
2.8 Failure to obey any rules or regulations of the hotel.

3.1 Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated.
3.2 Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately.
3.3 If a participant engages in unacceptable behavior, the Twist & Shout Team may take any action they deem appropriate, up to and including expulsion from the event without warning or refund.
3.4 Unaccompanied children, or those found without their guardians, may result in both being asked to leave the convention. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees at Twist & Shout, every child aged 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian with convention registration to gain classroom and jamroom admission.

4.1 If you are subjected to unacceptable behavior, notice that someone else is being subjected to unacceptable behavior, or have any other concerns during the event, please notify a member of the Twist & Shout Team as soon as possible. All reports will remain completely confidential.
4.2 The Twist & Shout Team will be available to help participants contact local law enforcement or to otherwise assist those experiencing unacceptable behavior to feel safe for the duration of the bash. 5.1 We reserve the right to modify or update this Code of Conduct at any time without prior notice.
5.2 Any changes to these Code of Conduct will be effective immediately upon posting on the Twist & Shout website.

Child Registrations have access to the Jam Room 6am - 11pm
