Vicky Kimble
Vicky is an entertainer, deco-twister, and educator. She has been working with (and loving) the balloon industry since 1998. Vicky has competed and won several international conventions and holds the title of Top Twister at Twist & Shout 2006. She has been an instructor at international conventions, and currently has a series of educational DVD's with AreaDeco video. Her unique style is well known and will often include BALLOOSION, a term she coined to describe the art of using un-inflated balloons and other materials to create lasting balloon sculptures.
Vicky lives in Loveland, Ohio with her husband James, twin boys, Danny and D.J., and four-legged children, Chloe, and Jack.
Asi Cohen
Born at the age of 10 Asi Began his creative and fun life at Holon Israel.
after 3 years of combat training and working at Nirim Kibutz asi became a bar tender. After he had enough of that, he decided to slide on ropes along side tall buildings and clean their windows,
it was fun for a wile, but, then Asi came across a 260 balloon.
Ever since , Asi has been twisting for the smiles of young and old and all of those between, they in return pay Asi Money. It works good so far.
Asi is known for his big balloon exhibitions in Israel, for original and innovative ideas of twisting and performing on stage and is also a balloon dress designer, and attended festival in China for the past 3 years.
At 2010 Asi gave his two weave classes at Twist and Shout , and it seamed as if people really liked it and learned from it, at least so they say :) So make sure to drop by , you might learn something so very cool.
Tonya McNeill
Tonya McNeill is the owner of Twisted Critters N More in Montrose, Colorado, and is a full time twister. Tonya enjoys building sculptures for delivery pieces, entertaining at local restaurants and twisting for birthday parties and other events.
Tonya loves to share her knowledge. She teaches the local children in her community, makes regular contributions to the Balloon HQ monthly columns, and posts ideas and instructions for designs on the balloon forums she is a member of. She also loves to share her talent with newer twisters.
You can find some of her instructional videos on her Facebook Fanpage "Tonya's Twisted Stuff. To date, Tonya has published 2 instructional DVDs and 3 instructional CDs.
Tonya taught her first “private mini class” at Twist & Shout 2009. She made her official debut as an instructor in late 2009 when she was invited to lecture in the Netherlands. The following February, Tonya was an instructor at Twist and Shout 2010.
Some of Tonya’s other accomplishments are: Won the “Broken Pump” Award in 2007, participated in the Balloon Couture Fashion Show in 2008, attended Ralph Dewey’s first annual “Twister Think Tank”, received the Balloon Excellence Award Rising Star in 2009.
David Brenion
David has been a performer and balloon artist for over 11 years. Together with his wife Shana, they own 3 Ring Entertainers, an event entertainment company in Ventura CA. David's whole world changed when he attended Twist & Shout 2009. Since then, he has spent all of his energy pushing the limits of his creativity. David specializes in creating sculptures with real personality and character, that evoke strong emotional responses from his audience.
Stretch the Balloon Dude
Sometime in mid-1961 my parents were together and... oops, I guess you don't need that part. About 27 years later, I started playing with balloons and accidentally got good at it. I kept playing with latex (balloons that is) and eventually people figured out that I could stand in front of people and share my twisted ideas, and some people would actually pay me t d this. Since than I have taught at Twist & Shout, Summer Balloon Camp, TJam on the Road and in lots of other places where twisted people get together. I live in Texas where we never get sno... almost never get snow'd in.
Michael Clay
Michael Clay isn’t only a balloon twister. While he has been twisting balloons for nine years it was only after leaving a full-time job as a Vice President in corporate America that twisting balloons became his full-time passion. Michael has the natural ability to make friends where ever he goes. When he meets fellow twisters he cannot help but share his knowledge, experience, and background with his friends and colleagues.
It wasn’t long until his colleagues in the balloon industry found out that Michael was also an expert in Internet Marketing. He has helped several entertainers learn how to better market their online presence and increased their business. While Michael continues to twist, he also has made a commitment to help other entertainers and small business increase their online leads. If you want More Gigs, then you need More Leads. A few of his students went from just learning how to increase their business into becoming Internet Marketing Consultants.
Michael now runs two full-time companies, one providing services as an entertainer, and the other as an Internet Marketing Consultant for all types of businesses. Michael is available for teaching and private coaching for any who would like to learn how to increase their business.
Jon "J" Hubbard
"J" has been part of Twist & Shout from the beginning. He is now a producer of the event heading up the registration and competition areas of the event. Come join him in this hands on beginners class teaching everything from how to tye a balloon , to a 3 twist dog, to an "Elmo and Cookie Monster" This class really is for the twister that has not done twisting before. You will go away, being able to use your skills in a "line setting" and looking like you've been twisting for a while.
